Dr. Bull has 23 years of radiology experience as a consultant and almost 20 years of experience in his special interests of cardiac CT and cardiac MRI scanning. He has also been involved in the development of Canon Medical’s ^PUREViSION ultra-dose efficient detector for computed tomography (CT). This recent technology allows patients to be scanned more safely using lower doses of radiation and IV contrast.

Currently, Dr. Bull supervises and reports on over 500 cardiac CT and 500 cardiac MRI examinations per year. He is also the immediate past president of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (BSCI).

As a renown cardiothoracic and musculoskeletal radiologist, Dr. Goela is an associate professor at the University of Western Ontario and at the London Health Sciences Centre of University Hospital.

He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Toronto and at Western University, a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University, and finally a fellowship in Thoracic and Non-invasive Cardiovascular Imaging at Harvard University. He was certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in Diagnostic Radiology.

Dr. Goela’s special interests include cardiomyopathies, sports-related injuries, and interstitial lung disease.

Dr. Mechó Meca is a radiologist at the Hospital de Barcelona-SCIAS, specializing in musculoskeletal MRI. She is one of the key figures responsible for the Magnetic Resonance Department at the Joan Gamper Fútbol Club Barcelona Center. 

In addition to the significant contributions in her field of expertise, Dr. Mechó Meca collaborated on the FCB 2017 muscle injury guide and the MLG-R classification of muscle injury. She has also participated in several research projects for the Barça Innovation Hub.

Dr. Mechó Meca holds a research degree (PhD) in Proximal myotendinous junction of the Rectus Remoris at the 'Departament de Cirurgia i Ortopèdia', Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Paul is the Professor and Chair of Medical Imaging at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. He is also the Department Head of Medical Imaging at the London Health Sciences Centre, and Chief of Medical Imaging at St Joseph’s Health Care, London. He is a Scientist at the Lawson and Robarts Research Institutes. Dr Paul is the current chair of the Canadian Heads of Academic Radiology (CHAR). CHAR represents all 17 of the university medical imaging departments across Canada. 

He has worked closely with Industry partners for almost two decades. At Toronto General Hospital, he created the Time Resolved Imaging and Image Optimization (TRIIO) Core Laboratory to provide a collaborative environment for industry-academic research partnerships with Industry scientists embedded within the research team. He has expanded this concept in London, through creation of the Bionext facility, a unique interactive environment for industry- academic research collaborations that occupies the entire 6th floor of the Robarts Research Institute. 

Dr. Paul has continued to develop strong industry academic partnerships with the creation of five national centres of excellence in London. Dr Paul currently serves on several regional and provincial panels that focus on the current and emerging needs of diagnostic imaging for the Ontario population and health care system.

Dr. Prevost is a clinical scientist at Canon Medical Systems. After obtaining his PhD from Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France, Dr. Prevost completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Canon's MRI Research Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2019.

As an expert in neuro-imaging, he has published numerous papers relating to the use of magnetic imaging resonance. His most recent publications include “Advanced MRI biomarkers of the injured spinal cord - a comparative study of imaging and histology in human traumatic SCI”, “Quantitative MRI Biomarkers Measure Changes in Targeted Brain Areas in Patients with Obesity”, and “Deep learning-based noise reduction preserves quantitative MRI biomarkers in patients with brain tumors”.

After finishing her specialist registrar training in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland and having completed her fellowship exam of the Faculty of Radiology, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, Dr Purcell travelled to France for a two-year fellowship in Hôpital Beaujon, Clichy followed by a further year’s fellowship in Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, Paris, where she holds her current role as Consultant Neuroradiologist and Deputy Department Head.

She has a specialist interest in ophthalmic, orbital and neuro ophthalmological imaging, with expertise in Doppler and ultra-high frequency ultrasound in this domain, as well as advanced techniques in MRI and CT.

Dr. Patrik Rogalla completed his medical studies as well as his radiology residency at the Free University of Berlin in Germany. After receiving a Clinical fellowship in gastro-intestinal imaging at the University of California (UCSF), he returned to Germany where he began working at the Charité University Hospital. There, he gradually took on various roles, ultimately culminating in his appointment as Professor of Radiology.

In July 2009, Dr. Rogalla was appointed as Full Professor of Radiology at the University of Toronto and held the position as Head of the Abdominal Imaging Division from July 2010 until December 2017. In February 2018, he was appointed as Head of the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division and Deputy Head of Innovation at JDMI. Furthermore, Dr. Rogalla is the Director of Computed Tomography at JDMI and served as the Site Director at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre until June 2020 before assuming the Imaging Site Director role at the Toronto General Hospital.

Dr. Rogalla has published more than 215 original articles and several book chapters and holds two international patents. He is actively involved in many professional and international radiological societies. In June 2020, he graduated from the Rotman School of Business with an MBA in Health and Life Sciences.

Dr. Shrestha along with the role of General Manager and Senior Director of the Canon Medical Global Healthcare IT division he also is Vice Chair of the Society for Imaging Information in Medicine (SIMM) Global outreach committee.  With over 30 years of experience in medical imaging and international healthcare informatics, with a strong focus on market trends and technology. He has demonstrated effective leadership and built a successful track record as a co-founder, executive leader, general manager, and vice president in various organizations.

Dr. Shrestha completed his PhD in Medical Imaging Informatics and Business Management at Imperial College London. As a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Scholar, he contributed to a global consortium that developed DICOM and HL7 standards for medical information systems.

Dr. Shrestha has a passion for making a difference through innovative healthcare solutions in everyday clinical workflow, particularly in emerging markets.

Dr. Yu, PhD, is Director of CT R&D at Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. In this role, he leads the strategy and execution of CT research at CMRU. He also manages a portfolio of research projects as well as a number of product development projects for Canon’s CT product lines.

Dr. Yu has more than a decade of industry experience in medical imaging. After receiving his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, he began his career at GE Healthcare in 2009 where he worked to bring his thesis into a commercial product. He received the Dushman award, one of the highest R&D awards at GE, for his work.

In 2013, Dr. Yu joined CMRU as a senior scientist where he was promoted to the position of Manager of CT Image Reconstruction in 2015. Under his leadership, the team developed various advanced reconstruction features for Canon’s CT product lines, including the world’s first deep learning-based image reconstruction algorithm (AiCE), and Canon’s deep learning spectral CT system.

Dr. Yu has more than 30 patents and has published over 30 peer reviewed papers. He is a recipient of the CMSC-CMRU Invention Award.
