Toshiba is offering enhancements across its Aquilion ONE CT product line that improve patient experience and satisfaction

New Detector and Software Release Put Patients at the Forefront of Care

CHICAGO, Dec. 3, 2014 – Giving customers the tools to lower dose and ensure safer CT imaging, Toshiba is putting customers first by providing solutions to solve these challenges. Toshiba is offering enhancements across its AquilionTM CT product line that improve patient experience and satisfaction, including:

  • AIDR 3D Enhanced (pending Health Canada clearance): The 4th generation advanced iterative noise reduction algorithm improves image quality for low dose CT acquisitions
  • PUREViSION CT Detector (pending Health Canada clearance): This new, more efficient CT detector results in improved light output with reduced electronic noise, for better use of X-ray photons.
  • SUREkV (pending Health Canada clearance): Provides safer exams and improves workflow with automated kV selection based on patient size

These improvements across the AquilionTM CT product line reinforce Toshiba's commitment to support our customers in achieving the lowest possible dose without compromising diagnostic image quality. These enhancements were showcased at this year's Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30 – Dec. 5, 2014 (Booth #7333, North Hall).
