Prof. Brattain is an Associated Professor of Medicine at University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine. She is part of the UCF AI Initiative and holds secondary positions in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and Institute of Simulation and Training.

Prof. Brattain works at the intersection of biomedical artificial intelligence (AI), medical imaging, and surgical robotics. She has a proven track record in fostering collaborations, leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring students, and facilitating translational AI applications. The AI research in her lab focuses on bridging the unmet gaps in healthcare and it ranges from large-scale computing in the cloud to lightweight edge AI on smart devices. Driven by a passion for healthcare innovation, she directs her expertise towards the development of real-time diagnostic assistants and advancement in minimally invasive procedures. These endeavors are geared towards enhancing clinical decision support and empowering medical professionals with intelligent medical care capabilities in diverse settings, ranging from well-established hospitals, clinics, home care, rural communities, to unique environments such as sports medicine, battlefield care, and space health. Prof. Brattain received her PhD in Engineering Sciences from Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Dr. Gil Rodas, MD, PhD, is a leading expert in sports medicine with over 30 years of experience in athlete health and performance. Based in Barcelona, he is part of the FC Barcelona Medical Department and serves as Medical Director of the Barça Innovation Hub.
Dr. Rodas is also affiliated with the Sports Medicine Units at Hospital Clínic and Sant Joan de Déu, and is a clinical associate professor at the University of Barcelona. A member of the Spanish Olympic Committee's Medical Commission, his work bridges elite sport and academic research.
His studies span genetics, epigenetic, hypoxia, and cardiovascular responses in athletes, with a recent focus on muscle and tendon injury prevention, diagnosis and treatment, especially in biological approach, including cell therapies., and focus in Sportomics as a tool to monitor athlete health and performance.
Dr. Rodas has contributed to numerous national and international projects and has published more of 100 articles in top journals.

Prof. Guido Claessen was trained as a cardiologist and later as a rehabilitation physician at KU Leuven. He obtained a PhD at KU Leuven on the function of the right heart during exercise.
He obtained a Master's degree on pulmonary vascular diseases at the University of Bologna. After completing his training as a cardiologist, he pursued a fellowship in sports cardiology at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, Australia, under the guidance of Prof. Andre La Gerche, and subsequently began working as a cardiologist at UZ Leuven.
He is focusing on the development of sports cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac imaging and heart failure at the Hasselt Heart Centre. Prof. Claessen is now also affiliated with UHasselt and KU Leuven, where he is responsible for the Bachelor's degree in medicine at UHasselt and the subject of Physiopathology of Sports Medicine at KU Leuven.
