Dr. Ravi Bickram Shrestha - Canon Medical Systems Corporations – Global Healthcare IT
Dr. Shrestha along with the role of General Manager and Senior Director of the Canon Medical Global Healthcare IT division he also is Vice Chair of the Society for Imaging Information in Medicine (SIMM) Global outreach committee. With over 30 years of experience in medical imaging and international healthcare informatics, with a strong focus on market trends and technology. He has demonstrated effective leadership and built a successful track record as a co-founder, executive leader, general manager, and vice president in various organizations.
Dr. Shrestha completed his PhD in Medical Imaging Informatics and Business Management at Imperial College London. As a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Scholar, he contributed to a global consortium that developed DICOM and HL7 standards for medical information systems.
Dr. Shrestha has a passion for making a difference through innovative healthcare solutions in everyday clinical workflow, particularly in emerging markets.
