Dr. Ferdinand Schweser - University at Buffalo, Buffalo, USA
Dr. Ferdinand Schweser is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Biomedical Engineering and the Technical Director of MRI at the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. His specialty and research focus includes Bioinformatics, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Neurology and Radiology. He received his PhD degree from Friedrich Schiller University, Germany in 2013. He completed the postdoctoral training at the Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology I, Jena University Hospital in Germany. He has authored 163 peer reviewed scientific articles and delivered over 30 national and international scientific presentations. He has also authorized book chapters, monographs and press releases in areas of Susceptibility Weighted MRI, Parallel Transmission of MRI and many more. His current focus is MRI Contrast Mechanisms and improving the sensitivity and specificity of MRI with respect to biophysical properties of brain tissue.
