Regional Sales Director - Eastern Canada

Location: Eastern Canada

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Regional Sales Director – Eastern Canada is responsible for revenue generation in Eastern Canada. This includes coaching and mentoring Account Managers to maintain consistent revenue growth while effectively representing the Canon Medical Systems Canada (CMSCA) brand in a highly competitive diagnostic imaging market. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for liaising with clients, account managers, product managers and the applications team to ensure all strategic initiatives regarding equipment sales are achieved in the territory. 

This position collaborates effectively with CMSCA corporate and regional resources to achieve profitable revenue growth with customer satisfaction. 

As a member of Canon Medical, you will be an integral team player in the promotion of our equipment to hospitals and private institutions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Utilizes leading indicators to proactively identify and address potential sales revenue shortfalls by specific Account Managers; 
  • Establishes committed and monitored action plans to address potential or existing revenue shortfalls to forecast; 
  • Understands current/future applications for modality solutions, collaborates with other functions as well as Account Managers to develop strategies, and plans to capitalize on them in Hospitals and Clinics; 
  • Develops and ensures effective execution of sales strategy based on regional coverage and growth plans; 
  • Develops programs and action plans to address existing or potential performance shortfalls in revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction or forecasting accuracy; 
  • Reviews monthly Wins/Loss review reports for completed tender responses/sales proposals in the region with leadership team; 
  • Responsible for managing performance, mentoring, hiring and career development of Account Managers;
  • Conducts quarterly performance review/discussions with Account Managers to identify and document successes and improvement opportunities;
  • Identifies training and development needs for Account Managers and ensures that relevant programs are implemented to address them in a timely manner. 
  • Leads by example in all aspects of sales and sales management excellence;
  • Adheres at all times to all CMSCA policies, including environmental, health and safety, and confidentiality policies in their entirety.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of sales experience and minimum 3 years of sales team management required (diagnostic imaging very strongly preferred); 
  • 3 years of experience managing a sales team;
  • University Degree in Business Management preferred; 
  • Experience using enterprise system to fulfill sales responsibilities and product management responsibilities; 
  • PC Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word; 
  • Ability to travel up to 60% nationally; 
  • Willingness to travel internationally; 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
