The Account Manager - Ultrasound is responsible for revenue production in a defined territory. This includes management of all assigned accounts within the territory to maintain consistent revenue growth while effectively representing the Canon Medical Systems brand in a highly competitive diagnostic imaging market. The Account Manager - Ultrasound is accountable for achieving the territory sales, profitability and while maintaining excellent customer relations through effective planning and budgeting. He/she is also responsible for identifying customer sales projects and effectively leading the pursuit of a successful closing of specific modality solution sales opportunities. 

In this position, the Account Manager – ultrasound will effectively collaborate with CMSCA’s corporate and regional resources to achieve profitable revenue growth with customer satisfaction. 

As a member of Canon Medical, you will be an integral team player in the promotion of our Ultrasound equipment to hospitals and private institutions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Build and implement coverage/relationship development plans based on identified sales project with monthly coverage plan for the territory as a whole, as well as within specific accounts; 
  • Identify and initiate specific sales projects, as well as sales opportunities, based on assessment of customer install base; 
  • Participate in proactively defining RFP scope and requirements with the customers; 
  • Tender pricing and financial analysis, response preparation, review, sign-off and submission; 
  • Establish sales strategy for short-listed opportunities and confirm customer stakeholders; 
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all CMSCA sales processes, policies and procedures and implement them at the territory/account level; 
  • Adhere at all times to all CMSCA policies, including environmental, health and safety, and confidentiality policies in their entirety.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 5-7 years of capital equipment sales (Ultrasound preferred) in a consultative/conceptual selling capacity with preferred experience in the medical industry, specifically the Ultrasound modality; 
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with application to territory and account coverage as well as tender responses. 
  • Ability to spend 80% of available time with customers in the territory and internationally, when necessary. A valid driver’s license and passport is mandatory. 
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills with a facility to address multiple audiences internally and externally; 
  • Strong analytical skills and financial literacy combined with a solutions-oriented mentality; 
  • Capability to maintain a high level of product knowledge of all CMSCA and competitive imaging Ultrasound equipment; 
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to build and manage customer relationships; 
  • Sales effectiveness: strong personal sales leadership skills with a demonstrated track record of following through on commitments; 
  • Results-driven with proactive ability to act and quickly implement effective solutions in a timely manner; 
  • Creative and pragmatic problem solver with a methodical, hands-on and detail-oriented approach; 
  • Proven teamworking and interpersonal skills: collaborative team player and team builder open and receptive to others’ ideas; 
  • Proficient in sharing information and keeping team members informed and motivated; 
  • Collaborative: capable to work effectively with others to identify and resolve issues; 
  • Comfortable in interacting with all levels of management and a diverse work force; 
  • Ethical: holds the highest level of professional integrity and honesty, as well as personal credibility; 
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector check;
  • PC proficient: including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word; 
  • Able to use enterprise systems to fulfill sales responsibilities.
