Canon Medical Systems Canada (CMSCA) is a leading worldwide provider of high-quality diagnostic imaging systems and comprehensive medical solutions and is looking for a highly capable Account Manager – Multimodalities, located in British Columbia

Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales (West), the Account Manager is responsible for revenue production in a defined territory. This includes managing all assigned accounts within the territory to maintain consistent revenue growth while effectively representing the Canon Medical Systems brand in a highly competitive diagnostic imaging market. The Account Manager is accountable for achieving the territory sales and profitability, as well as managing customer relations through effective planning and budgeting. He/she is also responsible for identifying customer sales projects and effectively leading the pursuit of a successful closing of specific modality solution sales opportunities. 

This position collaborates effectively with CMSCA's corporate and regional resources to achieve profitable revenue growth with customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

  • Build and implement coverage/relationship development plans based on identified sales project with monthly coverage plan for territory as a whole and within specific accounts; 
  • Based on assessment of customer install base, identify and initiate specific sales projects; 
  • Identify sales opportunities; 
  • Participate with customer in proactively defining RFP scope and requirements; 
  • Tender pricing and financial analysis, response preparation, review, sign-off and submission;
  • Establish sales strategies for short-listed opportunities and confirms customer stakeholders; 
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all CMSCA sales processes, policies and procedures and implement them at territory/account level;
  • Adhere at all times to all CMSCA policies, including environmental, health and safety, and confidentiality policies in their entirety.


Requirements

  • 5-7 years of capital equipment sales (Diagnostic Imaging/Medical Industry) with consultative/conceptual selling; 
  • University degree in Business Management preferred; 
  • Able to spend 80% of available time with customers in the territory;
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills with ability to present to multiple audiences, internally and externally; 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with application to territory and account coverage, as well as tender responses;
  • Customer-oriented with facility to build and manage customer relationships;
  • Results-driven with proactive ability to act and quickly implement effective solutions;
  • Creative yet pragmatic problem solver – methodical and detail oriented;
  • Proven teamworking and interpersonal skills: collaborative team player and team builder open and receptive to others’ ideas;
  • Proficient in sharing information and keeping team members and partners informed;
  • Capable to work with others to effectively identify and resolve issues;
  • Comfortable in interacting with all levels of management and a diverse work force;
  • Holds high level of professional integrity and honesty, as well as personal credibility; 
  • Able to use enterprise systems to fulfill product management responsibilities;
  • Commands strong personal sales leadership skills with a proven track record of following through on commitments.
