Marketing Specialist

CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS CANADA LIMITED is a leading worldwide provider of high quality diagnostic imaging systems and comprehensive medical solutions looking for an enthusiastic and highly capable Marketing Specialist to support our Canadian team.  

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Marketing Team by taking on key projects and day-to-day operations. We are looking for a competent professional who is an organized and strategic problem solver with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple forms. You are passionate about taking on a fast-paced, hands-on Marketing role to support the overall marketing plan in a variety of activities from event to web coordination. A strong communication acumen with solid writing skills is a must. Bilingualism is an asset for this role.     



Event Coordination & Trade Show Support 

  • Event coordination to support the Marketing Manager on internal meetings, product launches, workshops, trade shows, customer events, training etc. 
  • Manage Marketing’s trade show asset inventory (Local travel required) 
  • Maintain and update annual event calendar to allocate marketing assets based on inventory
  • Ensure pre-event readiness (display/booth set-up plan, AV, nametags, check-in, etc.) 
  • Manage event materials logistics (outbound and return, logistics notification to attendees)
  • Post-event duties may include but are not limited to: measure/track data on the effectiveness of events and activities, organize sales leads, surveys/feedback forms, training certificates and prepare reports to determine ROI 

Digital Marketing 

  • Research, develop, and present recommendations on new digital marketing trends, tools and channels that align with Canon Medical’s target market  
  • Develop and own the launch plan of Canon Medical’s French Canada website from start to finish
  • Regular web maintenance of Canon Medical’s English Canada website, and the French Canada website upon completion 
  • Support email communications (from internal employee updates to customer e-blasts)
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to localize creative assets (web copy, graphics, and corporate messages, etc. ) for use in Canadian digital campaigns 
  • Organize digital signage content and videos for trade shows and events as required 
  • Conduct basic photography and videography as requested, maintain library of digital assets
  • Performing analytics and reporting of all digital marketing & web activities

Marketing Operations & Automation

  • Work with AP to create/submit cheque requisitions and set up new vendors in the payment system
  • Manage inventory of promotional items, source custom promotional materials & giveaways
  • Manage inventory of product literature and fulfill sales team literature requests 
  • Maintain email subscription list 
  • Marketing reports as required 


  • 1-3 years of B2B marketing experience and working knowledge of the Medical Imaging industry (CT, X-Ray, Angio, Ultrasound, MRI) is preferred
  • Skilled communicator and writer who works well with global teams 
  • Technical experience with web content management systems 
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (from traditional to digital marketing) 
  • PC and Mac expert, including software such as MS Office (Excel Intermediate, PowerPoint Advanced) and Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Strong team player 
  • College diploma or university degree in marketing, communications or equivalent
  • Valid G Driver’s License required for local duties and travel
